Rentals We welcome you to come through our leaded glass entry-way doors and find yourself a home-away-from-home at the Garden View, our family home since 1976 in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia.

We hope that you will enjoy the restored natural wood in the floors and woodwork and the collection of antiques and original art found throughout the house. On the main floor, relax in our dinning room featuring a bay window and a piano. Pass through the wooden archway to the adjoining living room with fireplace and cable TV with DVD. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the garden or indulge in a ‘set ‘ on the porch. Wireless internet service available.

Please join us from 7:30 -9 AM for breakfast in the dining room. We don't mean to boast, but our guests do rave about our breakfasts; choices range from the traditional bacon and eggs (with home made bread and natural smoked bacon), to our house specialty of crepes with fruit sauce or the famous "Paving Stone" (a crepe with ham, egg and cheese cooked inside), luscious and lite raisin apple bread pudding and the maritime vegetarian ( home baked beans and brown bread). Or for an extra $10 you can enjoy the of one our wonderful breakfasts served in your room. Please mention any special dietary needs to us in advance and we will do our best to help.

The second floor is reserved for our guests. This includes our three guest rooms, Rose, Arbor and Garden, all with queen-sized beds and in-room safes and a cozy den with a desk and a window seat. The Garden Room (queen bed, in room TV and phone) has a four-piece ensuite bath (with an old-fashioned soaker tub). The Rose (one queen and one single) and Arbor room (one queen bed and one queen futon) guests have access to two shared bathrooms. On the second floor there is a four piece bathroom, including a air whirlpool massage tub. On the main floor there is another shared four piece bathroom with Jacuzzi tub.

The Arbor Room is our largest room, furnished with an antique bureau and featuring a bay window, with a comfy queen-sized futon for relaxing or for an extra two guests. In room safe for valuables available. An extra person and/or use of an extra bed is $20 per night ($10 in the off-season).HST of 13% is extra. Guests can enjoy the four-piece bath, with air whirlpool massage tub as well as the four piece bath with jaccuzi on the main floor. Breakfast is served on the main floor in our dinning room, which is adjoined by a sitting room with fireplace and cable TV with DVD. An antique, single spool bed serves as a day bed and sleeps an extra guest. In room safe for valuables is available.
